We’re looking for a Service Controller to join our growing team at Bellshill.

The role of Service Controller is to efficiently ensure the highest standards of quality and service delivery is achieved at all times with a “right first-time fix” philosophy ensuring the best customer experience is consistently maintained.

What will you be doing?

As a Service Controller, you will assist Service Desk Manager in identifying problematic vehicles and underperforming service providers, as well as support the implementation of changes to improve efficiency, performance and cost effectiveness.

You will raise jobs on RAMS and upload all relevant information, including compliance documentation. Ensure value for money is achieved and update the dates of upcoming compliance events, including service inspections, MOTs, LOLER examinations and tachograph calibrations, as required.

You will be responsible for managing external servicing and repair activity, ensuring all work is completed efficiently, cost-effectively and within agreed SLA guidelines. This includes coordinating workshop bookings, arranging planned maintenance, monitoring work in progress and minimising vehicle downtime. You will also oversee supplier performance, ensure accurate and up-to-date information is maintained, and escalate any issues or costs exceeding £1,000 for approval.

You will support the management of vehicle breakdowns, ensuring all Vehicles Off Road (VOR) are logged and updated daily on internal reporting systems. Building strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and customers will be key, alongside proactively resolving issues and driving efficiency across the operation.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who is a confident and capable communicator and who is confident with the use of MS Office.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience from within a Service Controller role or similar.
• Excellent Customer service skills along with great administration skills and the ability to prioritise and multi-task while working accurately and within deadlines.
• An understanding of the Transport industry (required)
• Computer literacy with the ability to confidently use MS Office and CRM systems.
