Service Delivery Supervisor

Job purpose

As a Service Delivery Supervisor (Cargo) you will have to safely coordinate arrival and departure below wing activities of the aircraft, by leading and briefing loading teams on the handling requirements and ground support activities and ensure alignment with the SLAs, standard operating procedures and highlight any potential handling constraints. Undertakes aircraft pushback operations.

In this role, you will

  • Review load plans, identify special cargo, and ensure optimal space utilisation within time and safety standards.
  • Plan and communicate resource requirements to build teams, ensuring efficient aircraft loading and maximum payload utilisation.
  • Supervise cargo operations across all sections (build-up, break-down, documentation, courier, acceptance, delivery) to meet productivity targets.
  • Provide guidance, resolve operational issues, and manage staff performance including counselling and disciplinary actions when required.
  • Implement and enforce departmental policies, procedures, and daily operational instructions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Monitor operations, resources, and equipment while promoting and enforcing a strong safety culture and compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, IATA, ISO, IOSA/ISAGO, GDP/CEIV standards, and manage cargo acceptance, handling, and delivery.
  • Review discrepancies, conduct audits, monitor cargo movement, and drive continuous improvement in processes, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you will have to meet the below requirements:

  • Hold a bachelor's degree with 4 to 6 years of experience OR a diploma with 6 to 8 years in air cargo or ground handling.

You will have an edge if you have

  • An advanced understanding of cargo live animal regulation.
  • Dangerous goods acceptance course.
  • Proficient safety awareness skills.
  • Advanced cargo tariff knowledge.
  • A basic knowledge of load control.
  • Basic budget and cost control skills.
