Level 2 Service Desk Technician / Systems Engineer

FooForce is a well-established Managed Services Provider (MSP) with offices in Sydney and Melbourne. We are looking for an experienced Level 2 Service Desk Technician / Systems Engineer to join our Sydney team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a small, experienced team supporting a diverse range of clients across a broad range of technologies. You'll be involved in both day-to-day support and project work, helping clients get the most from their technology.

About the Role

You will:

  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to clients.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, server, network and cloud-related tasks.

  • Support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Microsoft Azure environments.

  • Install, configure and maintain hardware, software and business applications.

  • Assist with system upgrades, migrations and infrastructure projects.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and ticket records.

  • Work closely with senior engineers to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients.

Technical Skills & Experience

You should have experience with most of the following:

  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, OneDrive, Teams)

  • Windows desktop and Windows Server administration

  • Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Basic networking (LAN, WAN, switching, routing and Wi-Fi)

  • Troubleshooting end-user devices and business applications

Desirable Skills

Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:

  • ConnectWise Manage or similar PSA/ticketing platforms

  • Kaseya or similar RMM and automation tools

  • Power Automate / Power BI

  • Communicates clearly with clients and colleagues

  • Is confident dealing directly with clients

  • Learns new technologies quickly

  • Can prioritise work effectively and manage competing demands

  • Works well independently and as part of a team

  • Has strong attention to detail

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an MSP environment

  • Relevant IT qualification, certification, or equivalent industry experience

  • Industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.) are highly regarded

  • Cyber security knowledge or experience is desirable
