Job Summary
As a DMG MORI Service Engineer, you provide maintenance and repair support for DMG MORI CNC machine tools and controls, delivering expert technical service on-site or remotely to ensure optimal machine performance.
Responsibilities
- Install and commission DMG MORI CNC machines and components to ensure operational readiness
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues on CNC machines to restore functionality promptly
- Perform on-site repairs to resolve machine malfunctions and minimize downtime
- Conduct diverse maintenance tasks to maintain machine reliability and performance
- Prepare, generate, and analyze ongoing and ad-hoc service reports to monitor service quality and outcomes
- Create and update technical documentation to support service activities and knowledge sharing
- Build and maintain strong communication and relationships with customers to enhance service satisfaction
- Manage challenging customer situations positively by responding promptly and soliciting feedback for service improvement
- Collaborate with spare parts coordinators to identify required parts and ensure timely delivery to customers
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies, practices, and procedures to maintain a safe working environment
- Train and develop colleagues as needed to enhance team capabilities
- Perform other duties as assigned to support service operations
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering or related technical field
- 3 to 5 years of field service experience including installation, maintenance, and repair of lathes and/or milling machines
- Proficient in handling CNC control systems such as Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and/or Heidenhain controls
- Practical experience with DMG MORI machines is advantageous
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams
- Service-oriented with effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
- Proficient in English verbal and written communication
- Basic computer literacy with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
