Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to join our Singapore team marine services division. In this role, you will be responsible for Inspection, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting for Ballast Water Systems BWTS onboard vessels.
This position is a full time role, based at the AMS office & workshop but also requires travel to go onboard vessels/ships, ports, and shipyards. The ideal candidate is an independent problem-solver capable of managing dynamic technical challenges in maritime environments.
Key Responsibilities
Servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of the Ballast Water Treatment System, ensuring the highest standards of operational efficiency and safety in offshore environments.
Key responsibilities
- Perform servicing, troubleshooting, and re-commissioning of existing or aging Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS)
- Provide international technical support to customers,
- Participate in a 24/7 service support pool, with assignments coordinated through a global service coordinator responding to customer requests
- Collaborate closely with the international marine service team, providing technical support to global specialists and coordinators when required
- Assist with local field service operations and on-site technical support as needed
- Support general operational tasks including order packing and delivery coordination when required
- Minimum 3 to 5 years hands on experience in such systems ( ability to understand the entire system operations )
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, or Marine Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience: 3 ~ 5 years of hands-on experience in marine instrumentation, automation, or calibration services & technical Proficiency:
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills
