Job Summary

This role involves delivering technical service execution and support for scientific and analytical instruments, engaging customers, coordinating escalations, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations with a focus on continuous learning and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for scientific and analytical instruments to ensure effective service execution and customer satisfaction
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs, provide timely updates, and maintain strong service relationships
  • Coordinate with internal teams and escalate complex cases to ensure prompt resolution and minimize downtime
  • Document service activities clearly and maintain compliance with safety and operational standards
  • Continuously develop technical skills and industry knowledge to enhance service capabilities and support innovation
  • Support business and operational functions by providing technical insights and assisting in process improvements
  • Drive operational excellence by adhering to best practices, safety protocols, and quality standards
  • Travel locally and internationally to support regional customers and service requirements

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or Instrumentation/Controls (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills applied to scientific/analytical instruments to resolve technical issues effectively
  • Customer orientation demonstrated by managing service delivery and communication to meet client expectations
  • Commitment to safe working habits and maintaining clear, accurate service documentation
  • Ability to plan and manage time proactively and work independently as required
  • Willingness to travel overseas and locally to support regional customers, with preference for own transport
  • For junior level: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or fresh graduates with training provided
  • For senior level: Minimum 4 years of relevant field service experience with proven ability to handle complex cases and customer escalations independently

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Experience working with analytical/scientific instruments such as Particle Size Analyzers, X-ray Fluorescence (XRF), spectroscopy systems, and/or ICP spectrometers
