Service Line Manager
Job Purpose/ Role
Weare looking for a Service Line Manager who is able to take over team leadership responsibility and service ownership for our operations team in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.
We are responsible for delivering reliable services in a dynamic environment to support the reporting and decision-making process of one of the world’s leading financial institutions. This role involves managing daily operations, ensuring team productivity, striving towards operational excellence, and fostering a positive work environment. The Team Manager will also be responsible for setting performance goals, providing feedback, and supporting the professional development of team members.
Key Responsibilities
– Oversee and support daily operations to ensure investment data sourcing and mastering services are provided in time and quality
– Manage the follow-the-sun operations model covering the APAC time zone together with your colleagues from the EMEA time zone and our offshore service provider
– Take responsibility for supporting our customers based in the APAC region and managing our offshore service provider in this regard accordingly
– Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to ensure the continuous improvement of our services
– Drive the definition of KPIs and steering of our service provider to effectively run our day-to-day operations
– Plan budget and resources for your area of responsibility and continuously monitor actual costs and efforts to identify potential deviations from plan
– Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback
– Set clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews with your team members
Key Requirements/ Skills/ Experience
– University degree in mathematics, economics, business administration, finance and/or equivalent experience in finance
– Proven experience in a leadership or management role
– Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
– Ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve high performance
– Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure
– In-depth financial know-how, especially in the context of investment data and capital markets
– IT and data affinity as well as experience in data analysis, preferably with relational databases (SQL, PL/SQL)
– Experience with data warehousing concepts and technologies
– Experience in working with or management of service providers is an advantage
