Cecil Atkission Motors is seeking an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with strong operational knowledge, a commitment to exceptional customer service, and the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team while driving profitability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the service department.
- Lead, coach, and develop service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
- Ensure outstanding customer satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor workflow, technician productivity, and shop efficiency to maximize performance.
- Maintain compliance with manufacturer standards, company policies, and safety regulations.
- Review financial performance, control departmental expenses, and achieve sales and profitability goals.
- Manage scheduling, repair order quality, and vehicle delivery timelines.
- Work closely with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of parts.
- Recruit, train, and retain top-performing team members.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment focused on accountability and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of automotive service management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, departmental KPIs, and profitability.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
