The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the service department, ensuring customer satisfaction, and optimizing operations, including scheduling, parts management, and technician performance.
PAY BEGINS AT $52,000 PER YEAR plus BONUSES!

QUALITIES FOR SUCCESS:
- Two years of Service Manager experience or two years of Service Advisor experience.
- College degree and factory training credentials.
- Ability to operate the department at a profit according to dealership guidelines.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and managerial skills.
- Must be a strong leader and coach with strong problem solving skills.
- Must be a team player with impeccable honesty and integrity.
- Must possess a valid IL driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them.
- Strive for harmony and teamwork with all other departments.
- Prepare and administer an annual operating budget for the Service Department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with manufacturers.
- Knowledge of warranty and CSI guidelines.
- Attend DOC meetings, Fixed Op meetings, safety meetings, and franchise meetings.
- Understand, keep abreast of, and comply with federal, state, and local regulations that affect service operations such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA right to know, etc.
- Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and monitor the performance of all Service Department staff.
- Direct and schedule the activities of all department employees.
- Provide technical assistance to employees as needed.
- Ability to review and revise customer repair orders and inspect the quality of technician repairs.
- Ability to conduct trend analysis and analyze technicians for productivity.
- Conduct meetings with department employees to discuss activities and problems of mutual interest.
SCHEDULE:
- Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.
- Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. (in rotation).
