The Service Sales Engineer will develop chiller system opportunities, perform technical sizing and selection, and prepare proposals and tenders for HVAC projects. Service Sales Engineer | Chiller / HVAC

Primary Focus: Chiller System | Technical Sales | HVAC/ACMV | Solution & Equipment Selection

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop chiller system and replacement opportunities, providing technical solutions to improve system performance and efficiency.

  • Assess customer requirements and perform chiller selection and sizing, including suitable chiller type, model, capacity, and efficiency.

  • Conduct site surveys, measurements, and pre-bid assessments to understand existing systems and project requirements.

  • Develop technical proposals, quotations, tender submissions, and retrofit solutions based on customer specifications.

  • Prepare project costing, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), supplier comparisons, and commercial submissions.

  • Coordinate with sales teams, consultants, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, and management throughout the sales and project process.

  • Attend tender clarifications, customer meetings, and technical discussions when required.

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and suitable technical solutions.

  • Track project opportunities and progress, maintaining accurate costing, estimating, and project records.

  • Support project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and progress reporting.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Building Services, HVAC/ACMV, or a related discipline.

  • Relevant experience in HVAC/ACMV, chiller systems, or mechanical building services. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, and related components.

  • Experience in chiller selection, sizing, equipment proposals, or retrofit solutions will be highly advantageous.

  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.

  • Understanding of commercial HVAC/mechanical contracting and project requirements.
