The Shop Foreman is responsible for overseeing all technicians performing internal repair and service work in the facility. This position provides day-to-day leadership, technical guidance, and quality control to ensure efficient operations, adherence to safety and company standards, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
A Day in the Life
- Lead shop technicians by assigning work, setting priorities, and providing direction throughout the day.
- Monitor repair times, productivity, and work quality, and coach technicians when needed.
- Make decisions on complex repairs and help the team resolve issues that affect workflow.
- Ensure repair orders, warranty work, and required paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
- Address customer concerns and work with other departments to keep repairs moving.
- Maintain a safe, organized shop and ensure the team follows company policies and procedures.
