Job SummaryThe role of Service Station Manager is responsible for leading the Service team by providing guidance, leadership and management support. Working closely alongside the corresponding team the role will also be responsible for the communication of performance statistics to both RH Aero Systems and customer management including key performance indicators and service level agreements.
Manage daily operational activities, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met by supervising and motivating staff. The Service Station Manager will be responsible for KPI monitoring and ensuring corrective measures are put in place to recover any shortfalls. The person in role may also be required to conduct 1st stage disciplinary reviews where necessary and will be required to manage their business stream daily and delegate duties as appropriate. The Service Station Manager will be required to identify training needs and skills gaps within the team and put in place supervision of trainees, placements and lower skilled personnel. This may include the provision of guidance, basic training and will be responsible for proactively promoting best practice and adherence to company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, motivate, and develop the Service Centre Team to ensure high levels of performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee Service Centre operations, including site visits, resource allocation, workload management, and achievement of customer deadlines.
- Conduct daily operational meetings and act as the primary escalation point for service-related issues, ensuring prompt resolution and effective decision-making.
- Ensure the availability and proper use of tools, equipment, consumables, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and other resources required for safe and efficient operations.
- Manage team performance through the establishment of objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary processes, and continuous development initiatives.
- Drive the effective utilisation of SAP and ensure all service-related transactions, records, and activities are accurately maintained within the system.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and third-party vendors to support service delivery, operational objectives, and business growth.
- Prepare, manage, and monitor departmental budgets, expenditures, capacity planning, and resource requirements to ensure cost-effective operations.
- Identify, assess, mitigate, and escalate operational risks while implementing corrective actions and improvement initiatives to ensure successful service delivery.
- Lead and communicate organisational changes, process improvements, and management interventions to enhance operational efficiency and business performance.
- Monitor, analyse, and report service performance, operational progress, risks, and key metrics to the Operations Director – Middle East on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, audit requirements, health and safety regulations, and environmental responsibilities, including timely closure of audit findings and improvement actions.
- Support annual business planning activities, including workload forecasting, capacity reviews, and budget preparation for RH Aero DWC.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement across all service operations.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities reasonably assigned by the Operations Director – Middle East in line with the needs of the business.
