Service Technician $70,000 up to $100,00+

DUTIES:

• Lockout/tagout devices used at all times when necessary
• Must conform to all customer safety regulations, as well as MSHA, etc.
• Perform most functions of a Welder/Assembler while in the field
• Drives or flies to various customer locations throughout the country
• Travels required approximately 50% of work hours
• Gathers parts and tools, and double check, before loading and/or leaving for service jobs
• Observes screen/feeder in operation, paying attention to audible indications of issues
• Dismantles mechanisms, or applicable component, to gain access to and remove defective parts
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections
• Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements
• Adjusts functional parts of screens and feeders as required
• Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts.
• Sets up and operates magnetic drill, grinder, and other metalworking tools to install and/or remove or modify repair parts
• Starts, or requests start of screens/feeders to test their performance, after repairs are complete
• Completes service and expense reports in a timely fashion
• Returns tools and trucks in a clean, safe condition - cleaning to be done during normal shift hours
• Will perform normal shop duties when not in field
• Available for short notice service trips

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be able to read a tape measure and prints
• Must have weld experience
• Must be proactive and a self-starter
• Must have good attendance
• Must work well with others
• Must be able to problem solve & trouble shoot in real time
