This is a skills-based growth opportunity for an individual with an interest in learning to become a certified diesel technician.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all company policies, local work, and safety rules, as well as federal, state, and local regulations that govern the Federal Registered Apprentice Program.
- Perform the required training coursework and/or computer-based training which is pre-designed to move trainees through to obtaining a course completion certificate, recognized by the US Federal Government within the following areas:
- Diesel Engine Repair, Drive Systems, Fuel & Electrical Systems, Steering & Brake Systems, Chassis & Springs, Cooling & Lubrication Systems, Hydraulics and Welding, Computer Diagnostics & Software, and Safety & Business Communications.
- Participate in all training programs; maintain and update safety skills and knowledge; keep current with hazardous material training requirements.
- Communicate clearly with program mentors and perform duties in a manner that promotes superior customer service and professionalism within the company and the industry.
