Service Technician (Automotive)

The Company

Our client is a well-established international engineering and manufacturing firm

The role

  • Perform inspection, troubleshooting, dismantling, assembly, testing, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Carry out overhaul, installation, and replacement of heavy vehicle components, including engines, gearboxes, transfer cases, axles, cabins, and winches.
  • Execute retrofit and modification works according to technical drawings and Statements of Work (SOW).
  • Utilize electronic parts catalogues, after-sales systems, and service documentation to identify spare parts and repair procedures.
  • Operate specialised tools and equipment to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
  • Adhere to OEM service manuals and manufacturer repair standards.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using OEM diagnostic tools and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Conduct on-site servicing and repairs at customer locations, including Army camps.
  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and housekeeping practices.

The Requirements

  • Minimum NTC 3 certification or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles, with expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Possession of a Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred.
