Service Technician (Automotive)

Our client is a well-established international engineering and manufacturing firm
The role
- Perform inspection, troubleshooting, dismantling, assembly, testing, and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Carry out overhaul, installation, and replacement of heavy vehicle components, including engines, gearboxes, transfer cases, axles, cabins, and winches.
- Execute retrofit and modification works according to technical drawings and Statements of Work (SOW).
- Utilize electronic parts catalogues, after-sales systems, and service documentation to identify spare parts and repair procedures.
- Operate specialised tools and equipment to ensure efficient and accurate repairs.
- Adhere to OEM service manuals and manufacturer repair standards.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using OEM diagnostic tools and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Conduct on-site servicing and repairs at customer locations, including Army camps.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality standards, and housekeeping practices.
The Requirements
- Minimum NTC 3 certification or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience servicing and repairing heavy-duty trucks or commercial vehicles, with expertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Possession of a Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred.
