The Role
CMS Engineering is seeking a qualified and motivated Service Technician to join our Perth team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for carrying out service calls, repairs, fault finding, and preventative maintenance across a range of commercial HVAC and mechanical building services systems. Working closely with our Service Coordinator, clients, and site teams, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of safety, workmanship, and customer satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing

Carrying out service calls, repairs, breakdown response, and routine preventative maintenance

Diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions

Completing all required service documentation and reports accurately and on time

Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing a high level of service

Identifying opportunities for additional maintenance or improvement works

Supporting and mentoring apprentices through ongoing training and development

Communicating with the Service Coordinator throughout the day regarding job status and completion

Identifying workplace hazards and maintaining a safe work environment

Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company procedures and industry standards

Participating in the on-call roster as required
Your Skills, Experience & Attributes
-
Trade qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or Mechanical Services

Current ARC Refrigerant Handling Licence (essential)

Restricted Electrical Licence (essential)

Current White Card (essential)

Current Australian Driver's Licence (essential)

Previous experience servicing and maintaining commercial HVAC systems

Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills

Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship

Ability to mentor apprentices and support team development

Full working rights in Australia (essential)
