Job Summary:
Automotive Technicians are responsible for diagnosing problems with vehicles, performing maintenance, and repairs on our client’s cars that come in for service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Diagnoses, maintains, and repairs vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning;
- Performs work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards;
- Performs maintenance procedure, including oil changes, fluid level checks, tire rotations, etc.;
- Tests components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
- Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs;
- Executes repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
- Suggest other services or repairs as necessary;
- Performs test drives as needed;
- State-regulated vehicle inspections;
- Communicates directly with the Service Advisor and/or Service Dispatcher so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed;
- Performs other related duties consistent with the role; this does not preclude management from assigning additional, though unrelated, duties.
