The Service Technician at Headquarter Honda based in Clermont, FL plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient operation of vehicles. the Service Technicians are responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive systems of vehicles.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Efficiently and accurately perform work as outlined on repair orders
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicle automotive systems
- Communicate with the parts department to obtain necessary parts
- Conduct thorough examinations of vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
- Immediately notify the service advisor if additional work outlined is not necessary or required
- Inform the service advisor promptly if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
- Document all work performed
- Conduct road tests on vehicles when required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shop area
- Adhere to federal, state, and local regulations
- Provide estimates for labor and time required for additional automotive repairs
- Effectively explain mechanical diagnoses and necessary repairs to service advisors and customers
- Participate in formal training sessions to stay updated on new technical information and techniques due to rapidly changing technology
Qualifications:
- Adhere to the company’s uniform policy
- Prior auto repair experience is required
- Honda Dealership service department experience preferred but not required
- Must be a team player, adaptable, and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in operating shop equipment
- Must provide own tools
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary
- Strong work ethic
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility in schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Demands & Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions around vehicles.
- Regularly use hands and arms to operate tools, equipment, and vehicle components.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift or move heavier items with assistance or appropriate lifting equipment.
- Regularly communicate with customers and coworkers in person and by telephone.
Work is performed primarily in an automotive service shop. Employees regularly work around moving mechanical parts and are exposed to loud noise, vibration, automotive fluids, varying temperatures, and vehicle exhaust. This position requires the safe operation of power tools, shop equipment, and motor vehicles while following established safety policies and procedures. Frequent interaction with customers, Service Advisors, fellow technicians, and management is expected.
