What You’ll Do
As a Maintenance Service Assistant, you’ll bring the LUMA Playbook to life by:
- Responding Promptly: Take care of maintenance requests quickly and professionally, including A/C and appliance repairs, aiming to resolve most within three days.
- Performing Preventive Maintenance: Complete scheduled upkeep to keep systems running at peak performance.
- Preparing Units for New Residents: Ensure apartments are move-in ready with painting, repairs, and touch-ups.
- Supporting Leadership: Partner with the Service Manager on team support, inventory management, and cost-saving suggestions.
- Maintaining Professionalism: Build positive relationships with residents and team members while representing LUMA with pride.
- Being On Call: Take part in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency maintenance needs.
- Maintaining Older Communities: Diagnose and address maintenance challenges commonly found in communities built in the 1980s, including aging infrastructure and systems.
- Using Technology Efficiently: Utilize maintenance software, mobile applications, and digital communication tools to complete work orders and administrative tasks.
