Service Technician - Mechanical & Industrial Lubrication Systems

Are you a mechanically inclined problem solver who enjoys working independently and helping customers? We are seeking a Service Technician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial lubrication equipment at automotive dealerships and industrial facilities. This is a hands-on role with excellent opportunities to learn specialized equipment systems and grow your technical skills.
What You'll Do
As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining oil and lubricant pumping systems
- Servicing equipment such as oil pumps, meters, filtration systems, distillation units, recycling equipment, and related machinery
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing repairs or component replacements
- Installing new equipment and piping systems
- Testing equipment to ensure proper operation and performance
- Operating power and metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts
- Loading, unloading, and transporting equipment using a company service truck
- Completing service paperwork, work orders, and parts documentation
- Communicating directly with customers regarding service needs and repair recommendations
- Following all company safety procedures and job site requirements
- Supporting other service and maintenance projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Valid Chauffeur's License (or ability to obtain one)
- Clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card
- Excellent attendance and reliability
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic math skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Pipefitting or plumbing experience
- Certificate or Associate Degree in Plumbing, Pipefitting, Mechanical Maintenance, or a related field
- Previous experience servicing industrial, automotive, or mechanical equipment
- Experience operating forklifts, hi-lo equipment, or scissor lifts
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work in confined spaces
- Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
