Service Technician

We are looking for an experienced Service Technician to join our team in Plainfield, CT. What you’ll do:

Propane service and tank installation.
Able to identify and correct any leaks from the tank to equipment connection.
Respond to customer emergencies as needed
Rotate “on call” status during evenings and weekends as needed
Perform tank maintenance spare tanks located in the plants in preparation for putting them in service.
Complete tank inspections and repairs at customer locations.
Will be cross trained to assist with bobtail truck propane deliveries as needed
Consistently communicate proactively with the Service Manager, CSC Manager, Dispatcher, Sales reps, drivers, and customers as necessary

What you bring:

High School Diploma or General Education Degree
Connecticut G1 or G2 Gas Journeyman License OR Rhode Island PJF or PJ license with willingness to obtain a Connecticut license (G2 or G1) within required timelines
2-3 years propane/oil service preferred; HVAC
CDL Class A or B required
Hazmat endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain within 6 weeks of hire
Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening.

The hourly rate for this position is $35.00 - $40.00 per hour, with flexibility for highly qualified candidates based on industry experience, CDL/Hazmat endorsements, and technical expertise. Individuals with G1, S2, or other higher level licensing will be evaluated at a higher range.
