Midwest Pump Works in Louisville, NE, is hiring a Service Technician. We are actively seeking an individual with a strong mechanical aptitude who excels in both independent work and collaborative efforts with vendors and colleagues, whether on-site at customer locations or in our shop. The Service team plays a crucial role in the upkeep and restoration of wastewater pumps,
panels, and associated equipment.
This position will cover the Western Iowa and Nebraska territory and will require travel to customers locations. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M.

What you'll do:

• Pump rebuilding: breakdown, evaluation, repair, testing
• Installs and ensures the efficient and safe operations of all pump equipment, new or replacement parts
• Inspect and repair pumps to ensure efficient operation and proper functioning equipment
• Confined space entry to complete lift station inspections and rebuilds
• Disassemble broken or defective pump equipment to facilitate the repair and reassemble when repairs are complete. Perform routine maintenance of all pump equipment
• Keeps accurate and timely records of equipment movement, installation progress, service schedules, customer interactions, and other paperwork required for proper documentation of work performed
• Clean and test all repaired equipment to ensure operations and appearance are up to company standards
• Travel to customer locations
• Respond to emergency callouts
• Other duties as assigned

What you bring:

• 1+ years of previous mechanical experience
• Electrical knowledge is required
• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to stand for long periods, bend, twist, kneel and lift 70-80 pounds without injury and can enter inside manholes, pump station wet wells, and other spaces identified as “confined spaces”
• Maintain a Nebraska driver’s license and a clean driving record
• CDL is preferred but not required
• Ability to handle occasionally dirty/odorous conditions
•Ability to work Monday - Friday 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. On-call may be required
