Business Alliance HR is recruiting a Service Workshop Manager for an Automotive Company in Ramallah, Palestine.
Reporting to: After-sales Manager
Employment Type: Permanent / Full-time
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Workshop Operations
Plan, organize, and supervise daily workshop activities to ensure jobs are completed on time and to quality standards.
Allocate work to technicians based on skill level, workload, and job complexity.
Monitor bay utilization, job flow, and turnaround times to maximize productivity.
Ensure all repairs and services follow manufacturer standards and technical service bulletins.
Team Leadership & Management
Manage, coach, and evaluate technicians, service advisors, and support staff.
Conduct training needs assessments.
Foster a safety-first, accountable, and customer-focused workshop culture.
Quality & Customer Satisfaction:
Ensure all vehicles are serviced/repaired right the first time, minimizing comebacks.
Handle escalated customer complaints and technical disputes professionally.
Conduct quality control checks and final inspections before vehicle handover.
Parts, Tools & Inventory
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure timely availability of parts for scheduled jobs
Oversee proper use, maintenance, and calibration of workshop tools and diagnostic equipment
Financial & Performance Management
Monitor workshop KPIs: labor efficiency, productivity, utilization, revenue per bay, and profitability.
Control workshop costs, including consumables, tools, and overhead.
Prepare regular performance reports for senior management.
Support upselling of value-added services.
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with health & safety regulations and environmental standards.
Maintain proper handling/disposal of hazardous materials (oils, batteries, coolants).
Ensure workshop equipment undergoes regular safety inspections and maintain a clean workshop/tools and environment.
Brand & Process Standards
Ensure workshop operations align with the brand aftersales standards and dealership guidelines
Stay current with new vehicle technologies, technical bulletins, and brand-specific procedures
Support internal audits and brand certification/compliance reviews.
Requirements
Automotive technical knowledge, with strong knowledge across multiple vehicle brands.
Workshop operations and team management skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Good knowledge of quality, safety, and manufacturer standards.
Ability to monitor KPIs, productivity, costs, and workshop performance.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Fluent English, with the ability to read and understand technical data and documentation.
Proficiency in MS Office and workshop management systems.
Years of experience: A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in automotive workshop operations, including supervisory or management experience.
