ServiceNow AI Architect - IT & Systems

Role Overview:

We are looking for a senior ServiceNow AI Architect to provide architecture and design authority for AI-enabled ServiceNow solutions. The role will shape secure, scalable and supportable designs across Now Assist, MCP, AI agents, agentic workflows, AIOps, CMDB/CSDM and enterprise integrations, while guiding engineering teams through implementation and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own end-to-end solution architecture for ServiceNow AI and automation initiatives, translating business objectives into architecture principles, design patterns, and implementation roadmaps.

- Design solutions involving Now Assist, Generative AI capabilities, AI agents, agentic workflows, MCP-based integrations where applicable, and intelligent IT operations.

- Define integration architecture, API patterns, data flows, identity/access controls, security boundaries, error handling, and observability.

- Ensure alignment with ServiceNow platform standards, CMDB/CSDM data practices, enterprise architecture, security, privacy, and governance requirements.

- Assess AIOps use cases and opportunities to automate incident, event, service-health, and operational workflows.

- Review technical designs, code approaches, configuration decisions, non-functional requirements, and deployment plans.

- Address scalability, availability, performance, maintainability, model/AI output risks, and operational support requirements.

- Provide technical estimates, solution options, delivery dependencies, and implementation risks to program leadership.

- Partner with business owners, platform owners, security teams, integration teams, and delivery leads to drive architecture decisions.

- Mentor developers and technical leads; establish reusable patterns, standards, and architecture documentation.

- Support proof-of-concepts, technical validation, architecture reviews, and production readiness.

Required Skills and Experience:

- 10+ years of ServiceNow/platform architecture or enterprise technology experience, with substantial hands-on ServiceNow solution design.

- ServiceNow CSA and Certified Application Developer (CAD) certifications expected.

- Strong architecture experience across ServiceNow workflows, integrations, data models, security, performance, and enterprise implementation patterns.

- Practical knowledge of Now Assist, Generative AI, AI agents or agentic workflows; ability to assess suitable use cases and design controls.

- Experience with CMDB/CSDM and IT service/operations processes.

- Strong technical leadership, estimation, design-review, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

- CIS-CSM and Now Assist credentials.

- Experience with MCP, AIOps, enterprise AI governance, and integrations with external platforms.

- Experience designing secure solutions for large, complex enterprise environments.
