ServiceNow Developer Architecture

Competency Framework.

· 6–10+ years of hands-on experience leading ServiceNow architecture and development

initiatives.

· Deep expertise in ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modules, and CMDB design, data modeling, and

service mapping including Incident, Change, Problem, Request, Discovery, Service Mapping,

Event Management, SAM, and HAM.

· Proven ability to design end-to-end enterprise ServiceNow solutions, integrating multiple

modules and external tools.

· Strong workflow and automation design skills, including scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) and

business rules for complex processes.

· Experience in CMDB design, data modeling, and service mapping, ensuring accurate service

visibility and impact analysis.

· Expertise in integration strategies, including APIs, MID Servers, and external

monitoring/business systems (Dynatrace, Splunk, ELK, SolarWinds).

· Skilled in platform governance, upgrade planning, and risk management, ensuring

compliance, stability, and performance.

· Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities, collaborating with IT, business

units, vendors, and leadership.

· Experience in mentoring and knowledge transfer, building capabilities for developers, admins,

and ROC operations teams.

· Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strategic planning capabilities, able to

translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
