About the Role

As a ServiceNow Developer at Alvarez & Marsal, you will design, build and support platform solutions that help address business needs through reliable workflows and applications. Reporting to the Senior ServiceNow Practice Manager, you will gather technical requirements from stakeholders, translate them into ServiceNow designs, and develop scripts and scoped applications. The role spans ServiceNow configuration, integrations, Flow Designer automation and user-facing experiences such as Service Portal and UI Builder. You will create test strategies and cases, validate releases across platform environments, and investigate production issues through root-cause analysis. Clear technical documentation, training materials and regular progress communication will support adoption and dependable delivery. This is a full-time, remote mid-level role for a professional with four to six years of experience, aligned to candidates in Gurgaon or Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and document technical requirements with business stakeholders, clarifying needs and constraints before shaping ServiceNow solutions. Communicate delivery progress and keep stakeholders informed throughout development.
• Design ServiceNow solutions, workflows and scoped applications that address documented requirements. Develop platform scripts and configure modules with attention to maintainability and business outcomes.
• Build automated workflows using Flow Designer and configure integrations, including REST API connections through IntegrationHub where appropriate. Support connected processes across ServiceNow capabilities.
• Create test strategies and test cases for platform changes. Validate releases across ServiceNow environments to confirm expected behavior and support controlled deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes and implement appropriate resolutions. Help maintain platform reliability by addressing defects and documenting relevant technical findings.
• Maintain clear technical documentation and training materials for ServiceNow solutions. Support stakeholder understanding and ongoing use of workflows, applications and configured modules.

Essential Skills & Technologies

• Hands-on ServiceNow development experience, including JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting. Able to develop scripts and scoped applications that support platform workflows and business requirements.
• Experience configuring ServiceNow modules and applying ITSM and ServiceNow concepts. Able to translate technical requirements into appropriate platform designs and configurations.
• Practical experience with Flow Designer to build automated workflows. Understands how workflow automation can support reliable and repeatable business processes.
• Experience with IntegrationHub and REST API integrations. Able to configure and support integrations between ServiceNow and connected systems.
• Familiarity with Service Portal, Service Catalog and UI Builder. Able to contribute to ServiceNow user-facing experiences and catalog capabilities.
• Knowledge of automated testing, test strategy development and test case creation. Able to validate releases across platform environments and investigate production problems.
• Stakeholder management and Agile development skills. Communicates progress clearly, collaborates through iterative delivery and keeps technical work aligned with documented requirements.
