Servicenow Developer

Role & responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and workflows across ITSM (Incident, Problem, Change, Request), Service Catalog, and CMDB, using server-side and client-side scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
• Build automation using Flow Designer and Integration Hub, and develop custom scoped applications that follow ServiceNow best practices.
• Build and maintain integrations using REST and SOAP, Scripted REST APIs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and MID Server.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and notifications that give business and operations teams the information they need.
• Manage roles, ACLs, and data security, and promote changes across instances using update sets or source control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform defects and production incidents, including root-cause analysis and preventive fixes.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 46 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
• Strong ServiceNow scripting skills: JavaScript (GlideRecord, Script Includes, Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Flow Designer and Service Catalog configuration.
• Working knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules and the CMDB.
• Experience building integrations with REST/SOAP, Scripted REST APIs, Import Sets, and Transform Maps.
• Good understanding of ServiceNow security (roles, ACLs), update sets, and instance promotion practices.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools such as Jira and Git.
• Good verbal and written English communication skills for working effectively with onshore and offshore team members.
