Summary
Chief Financial Officer for a multi-country fintech spend-management platform, leading finance operations, compliance, and ERP rollout across 25 legal entities.

Spendbase is an all-in-one spend management platform that helps companies take control of their software and vendor spend. Virtual cards, automated procurement, spend policies, cashback — we've helped customers unlock up to $300K in ROI, and we're just getting started.
We're a 200-person company running 11 products across 25 legal entities in multiple countries. Real complexity, real scale, real ownership.
We're looking for a CFO who's done this before — at scale, across borders, no ramp-up needed.
You'll own the financial backbone of a fast-moving, multi-entity fintech business: structure, compliance, cash, team, and the story we tell investors. You'll inherit a finance function that already works — a 12+ person team, established reporting, active investor relationships — and take it from good to built-to-scale.
What you'll do:
- Manage cash across 25 entities — daily calls on what gets paid, what can wait, and how we keep vendors and payroll running smoothly
- Review and sign off on P&L, cash flow, and balance sheet reporting prepared by your team
- Own the numbers we show investors, lenders, and banking partners — and be the one who defends them
- Lead a corporate restructuring project to bring our entity and contract structure fully into compliance across jurisdictions
- Own the ERP implementation end-to-end — moving us off homegrown, semi-automated systems onto a real, scalable finance stack
- Act as internal auditor — review your team's work, verify reporting accuracy, and catch issues before they become problems
- Keep all 25 entities audit-ready: banking relationships, licensing, capital requirements, and regulatory filings, wherever they live
- Manage and grow a finance team of 12+ (treasury, accounting, controllership, invoicing) across multiple regions
- Be the go-to person for other department heads (Sales, CS, Marketing, Legal) on anything financial
- Build and own financial models for fundraising, forecasting, and scenario planning
- Lead due diligence conversations with funds and investors
- Bring an independent, confident voice to the leadership table — grounded in the numbers, not just reporting them
Must-have:
- Proven experience managing finance for a company operating across multiple international legal entities, not just Ukraine — think US, EU, or Asia-based structures
- Real management chops: you've led a finance team of 10+ people, and you know how to run one without losing control
- Based outside Ukraine, with full access to international banking and compliance infrastructure
- The confidence to run a large team with a clear, steady hand and hold your ground on financial decisions
- A track record of thriving in a fast-moving, resource-conscious environment where priorities shift quickly
- Background in fintech, e-money, digital banking, or crypto — you already understand licensing requirements, client fund segregation, and capital adequacy rules, and won't need to learn them on the job
- Experience leading ERP implementations at scale
- Experience preparing companies for audits, due diligence, or fundraising rounds
- Experience in a reseller/marketplace business model, even without direct banking exposure
Within your first 90 days, you'll have a clear read on our entity structure and where the real priorities are. Within 6 months, you're driving the restructuring and ERP projects forward — not just monitoring them. Within a year, this finance function is running on a system built to handle 50 entities as easily as it handles 25.
What we offer:
- Real seat at the table — direct visibility into strategy and fundraising decisions
- Ownership over the finance function — team, systems, and process
- A 12+ person team already in place
- Remote flexibility (outside Ukraine)
- Complex, high-impact mandate: 25 entities, 11 products
- Competitive compensation
- 24 vacation days + 8 public holidays
- Paid sick leave
