Your role

As Head of Infra Hardware & Data Centre, you lead the organisation responsible for Saab’s infrastructure hardware, compute, storage and data centre capabilities. The area provides the secure, resilient and scalable infrastructure foundation that supports Saab’s business operations, engineering and growing demand for AI and data-intensive workloads.

You are responsible for the performance, development and effectiveness of your area, leading its people and capabilities while driving technology renewal, infrastructure modernisation and long-term capacity planning. A key priority will be to shape Saab’s future data centre landscape through a combination of internal capabilities and strategic partnerships.

You will be part of the Modern Infrastructure management team. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technology leaders, vendors and partners to align infrastructure strategy, technology investments and operational delivery. The role requires some travel to meet with your teams and business stakeholders.

In this role, you will

• Lead, develop and engage employees and leaders within the area
• Set the strategic direction, priorities and transformation roadmap for compute, storage and data centre services
• Take end-to-end accountability for the performance, security, resilience and lifecycle of infrastructure services
• Drive technology renewal, automation and standardisation to improve operational efficiency and cost effectiveness
• Translate business needs into infrastructure investments and long-term capacity plans, supporting engineering, AI and other data-intensive workloads
• Develop Saab’s data centre landscape through internal capabilities and strategic partnerships
• Build strong collaboration across business functions, Group IT, vendors and partners to align priorities and delivery
• Take financial ownership of the area and contribute actively to the Modern Infrastructure management team

You have experience leading teams and delivering results in complex technology environments. You are comfortable driving transformation, operational excellence and continuous improvement while collaborating across organisational boundaries.

You are an experienced technology leader with a passion for infrastructure, compute platforms and modern data centre services. You understand how resilient and scalable infrastructure enables business growth, engineering capabilities and AI adoption.

You are a people-oriented leader who creates engagement, develops others and fosters high-performing teams. At the same time, you combine strategic thinking with a strong delivery focus and a passion for modern technology and transformation.

Key qualifications and experience

• Academic degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience
• Strong people leadership and talent development skills
• Extensive experience leading infrastructure hardware, compute, storage or data centre environments
• Strong understanding of data centre technologies, colocation models, compute platforms, storage and enterprise infrastructure
• Experience leading infrastructure transformation, technology renewal or capacity modernisation initiatives
• Experience defining data centre strategy, colocation models or strategic infrastructure partnerships
• Strong understanding of infrastructure resilience, capacity planning and operational excellence
• Experience supporting AI or other data-intensive workloads through modern infrastructure platforms
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience from large, complex and global organisations
• Experience from the defence industry is considered an advantage
• Fluency in both Swedish and English, both written and spoken
