SHEQ Analyst
Salary: $5000 - $6000 + AWS + Performance Bonus
Working Days: Mon – Thurs 7.30am – 5pm, Fri 7.30am – 4pm
Location: Pioneer
Responsibilities:
- Ensures compliance with all corporate, government laws and regulations relating to Environment, Health & Safety Management System.
- Implementation of programs to drive the reduction of safety incidents and environmental harmful impacts.
- Collaborate with the Workplace Safety Officer to review, update, manages SHE-related incidents on / off site, industry safe work methods, legal requirements affecting safety and health. This role provides guidance and support on relevant SHE matters.
- Manages and coordinates all safety, health and environment programs, processes and activities to maintain a compliant and safe work environment. This role drives excellence in safety, health and environment to achieve Safety Zero Harm and sustainability results.
- Monitor, administer certification applications, permits renewals, track and report on certification status and progress.
- Coordinate with certification bodies to schedule audits.
- Ensure local SHE and facilities (eg Petroleum and Flammable Material Storage License etc) licenses as well as certifications remain valid with local authorities.
- Monitor industrial hygiene programs, conduct hazard analysis of hazardous substances and evaluate hazard control methods
- Compile and maintain necessary documentation, preparing for internal and external audits
- Conducts monthly SHE meetings, audits, and inspections together with EHS committee members to ensure SHE maintained, compliance, evaluate performance, and risks are assessed, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments to drive further improvement.
- Provides employees, contractors and visitors with guidance on health, safety and security matters and ensures the site is compliant with Corporate Safety Rules, industry, local, national guidelines and regulations.
- Promote safety and health by conducting in-house safety / health campaigns
- Advising on engineering and maintenance practices to drive improvement of safe systems of working
- Drive EHS activities, ensuring compliance with Corporate EHS requirements, positive SHE culture through but not limited to: Gemba safety talks and training, and putting Safety first demonstrated by consistent management behaviors
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, external and internal customers to resolve safety, environmental and health issues.
- Echcoing Leading the way to Sustainability and To Protect our Future:
- Ensure compliance with environmental legislation and keep up-to-date with industry and regulatory trends and updates
- Monitor, track and submit annual reports mandatory packaging reporting (3R plans for packaging) timely under the Waste & Resource Management System by NEA.
- Provide administrative support, collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance environmental and technological performance - aimed at reducing waste, energy usage, and carbon emissions
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma in engineering on Electrical / mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ relevant work experience in process safety and hazard management and background in process design, technical support or operations in the manufacturing or Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical industry.
- Internal auditor or ISO auditor qualification of relevant standards ISO 14001; ISO 45001
- SCDF as Fire Safety Manager
- Registered with MOM as Workplace Safety and Health Officer is a plus
