Shift Lead (Dolvi)
Job Summary:
To plan, organize and control production of “Metal Recovery Plant in Steel Industry Slag, Slag Evacuation from Furnace Pits, Slag Transportation and Scrap processing” in a Steel Manufacturing Industry, to ensure that goods are produced efficiently, on time, within budget and to standard.
Responsibilities Summary
- Plan daily production schedule for the slag and scrap Handling and processing.
- implement and control the production schedule
- review and adjust the schedule where needed
- determine the material resources required
- Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
- make decisions about equipment use, availability and utilization.
- Coordination with Maintenance department to optimize availability of resources.
- Coordination with Customer on daily basis.
- Plan the entire team to operate efficiently in all the three shifts.
- Work out and implement standard operating procedures for production operations
- Ensure that standard operating procedures are adhered to
- Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
- Monitor quality standards of products
- Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
- Uphold all ISO, GBP and OSHA standards applicable to the responsibilities above
Qualifications
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, industrial engineering.
- Experience
- Experience in steel melt shop or blast furnace.
- Operation management : Supervise all beneficiation plant activities, ensuring smooth operations, timely start-ups/shut downs, and achieving output targets.
- Process Control: Monitor and adjust critical parameters (temperature, pressure, density, slurry flow) to maintain optimal performance and product quality.
- Safety & Compliance: Sound knowledge on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols( LOTO,PTW,Inspections)
- Team Management: Lead, train, and motivate plant operators, delegate tasks, and manage shift manpower effectively.
- Troubleshooting: Identify operational issues, equipment malfunctions, and implement corrective actions, coordinating with maintenance teams.
- Coordination: Quality control, and logistics for seamless raw material supply and product handling.( For DRY MRP RMHS operation)
- Reporting: Maintain accurate shift logs, performance reports, and detailed handover notes for the next shift.
