Description

ROLE SUMMARY The Shift Supervisor is the senior person on the floor during their shift. You lead the pre-shift huddle, own the guest experience and cash controls, direct the front-of-house team, and ensure the store executes to standard from open to close.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Guest Experience & Front of House

Direct the front-of-house team — assign positions, manage breaks, and keep service fast and accurate during peaks

Model the Feeling First experience for the team: make every guest feel Seen, Safe, Surprised, Valued, and like they Belong

Coordinate with the Lead Baker so bread and menu items are ready, packaged to standard, and the display case stays full

Handle guest complaints and escalations from the team with professionalism and urgency; resolve at the front before they reach the Operations Manager

Manage cash controls — count and verify drawers at open, shift change, and close; prepare deposits and document any variances

Ensure the front of house stays clean, organized, and well stocked throughout the shift

Shift Leadership

Lead the pre-shift huddle — communicate daily targets, role assignments, and any operational notes

Execute the opening or closing checklist completely and on time every shift

Monitor team pace, positioning, and task completion — redeploy staff and step in to cover gaps as needed

Report any staffing, equipment, or safety issues to the Operations Manager immediately

Hold the team accountable to food safety and sanitation standards throughout the shift

Train new front-of-house team members on service, cash handling, and Feeling First standards

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required

2+ years of experience in QSR, retail, or food service, including at least 1 year as a shift lead, keyholder, or supervisor

Experience with cash controls — drawer counts, deposits, and variance reporting

Natural leadership presence — people follow your lead without needing to be asked

Calm under pressure and able to run a busy floor during peak periods

Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Reliable, punctual, and highly organized

Preferred

Experience opening or closing a store as the keyholder in charge

Familiarity with Filipino or Chinese bakery products
