Ship Cutter

Job Duties

Including, but not limited to:

• Torch cut outlines of a 15x 10 ft piece from vessel for removal.
• Torch cut rigging points for crane to connect to piece.
• Rig piece to be detached from vessel.
• Removing mast, posts, boilers, engines, hatch covers, etc. by torch cutting and rigging.

Working Conditions:

• Working from 40 hours plus overtime in a week.
• Working inside enclosed or confined spaces.
• Working from heights.
• Working in hot (Up to 110 F)/cold weather (As low as 35 F).
• Working near moving equipment operations.

• Equipment & Tools: Oxy-fuel Torch Cutting equipment, mechanics tools
• Physical Demand Level: Moderate to Heavy

• Sensory Demands: Hearing, vision, touch, smell and taste
• Hand Movements: Repetitive motions, gripping
