Job Overview
We are seeking an organised, detail-oriented, and collaborative Shipment and Sample Operations Officer to join a Patient Solutions team based in Slough. This role isresponsible for supporting accurate tracking, shipment, inventorymanagement, and documentation of biological samples while ensuring compliancewith regulatory and quality standards.
Thesuccessful candidate will work closely with international stakeholders acrossthe UK, Belgium, and advisory teams in the United States to ensure efficientand traceable sample operations.

Location:Slough / Windlesham (Office Based)
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Rate : £22.40/hr PAYE and £30.85/hr UMB - May vary depending onexperience
Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day shipment activities and maintain required shipment documentation.
- Coordinate courier bookings, collections, deliveries, and shipment tracking activities.
- Maintain accurate sample, shipment, and inventory records within tracking systems.
- Support biological sample life cycle management activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor shipment metrics, operational reports, and performance indicators.
- Investigate and resolve shipment-related issues and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with scientists, operational teams, and external logistics providers.
- Contribute to process improvements and operational excellence initiatives.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance in all sample and shipment management activities.
Required Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in shipment coordination, logistics, sample management, inventory management, or stock control.
- Experience working within a regulated environment such as pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, laboratory, or life sciences.
- Understanding of biological sample handling and chain-of-custody requirements.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data tracking and reporting.
- Experience using inventory, logistics, or sample tracking systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Strong communication skills with experience collaborating with international stakeholders.
