Shipping And Receiving Coordinator
Summary
Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments, performs daily lift-truck inspections, and maintains inventory accuracy using FIFO and scanning systems.
Objectives:
- Ensure secure and safe truck loading and unloading items.
- Identify any trouble with the lift truck and escalate the concern.
- Avoid lift truck breakdown when possible.
- Use the oldest product first. AKA F.I.F.O.
- Maintain inventory accuracy by reporting discrepancies and correct if possible.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and area organization.
- Report any shipping/receiving discrepancies
- Perform tasks during their absence of the lead coordinator with minimal assistance.
Tasks:
- Perform documented daily lift truck inspections and report any concerns.
- Making sure containers are labeled properly with correct part numbers and quantities.
- Check the packing list against what physically arrived and escalate any discrepancies.
- Record any damage to incoming packaging and items on Bill of Lading, reject if necessary.
- Assist Material Handling and/or production when not performing shipping/receiving activities.
- Accurately scan components/products into their physical location.
- Perform truck verification, make sure right product is going on correct truck.
- Communicate with Sales group and/or shipping coordinator on shipping concerns.
- Safely and securely load products on and off trucks.
- No Lift truck related accidents/incidents.
- No tipped products in transit.
- 100% accurate scanned items into physical locations
- 100% electronic transaction accuracy
Requirements:
- Excellent attendance
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to push/pull 50 lbs.
- Certified lift truck operator
- Able to work overtime
