Job Summary
Primarily responsible for the proper boxing of finished wheelchairs, accessories, and related products for worldwide shipment. Responsible for compliance to Quality Systems Regulation (QSR).
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for knowing the proper methods and procedures to disassemble and package every model of chairs, accessories, and related products. Responsible for scanning bar code of each chair creating packaging document, JDE order inquiry, printing box label, and order configuration.
- Responsible for processing all domestic/International parcels in accordance to work instructions. Completes daily closing, ensuring all drivers and shipments are here, loaded and have left the building.
- Responsible for learning a variety of shipping systems such as UPS World ship, JD Edwards, and Trax.
- Responsible for reading finished product work orders to verify: Proper product finish and color; and all order accessories are included for shipment.
- May be required to obtain forklift operators certification.
- Responsible for reporting on a variety of matters such as scrap, safety, training, attendance, purchase orders, etc.
- Participates in a self-managed team. Assumes specific responsibilities on a rotating basis for activities/items such as team representative, team indicators, team meeting minutes, etc.
- Responsible for following all applicable safety/housekeeping guidelines. Performs necessary preventative maintenance.
- Responsible for following all CTPAT rules and regulations.
- May work on special projects and other assignments upon request including work in other Materials areas, Assembly and Upholstery.
- Flexes up/down the line as necessary. Responsible for learning and compliance to policies and procedures applicable to the position.
