SUMMARY

To help direct activities involved in the shipment and receiving of materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Perform all clerical type duties such as: type bills of lading and related forms, photograph outgoing shipments, prepares loaders check list, signs receipts and freight bills, prepares receiving reports and insures shipments conform to shipping orders.
2. Works with trucking companies to book loads for shipment.
3. Operates and is responsible for miscellaneous office and materials handling equipment such as computer, calculator, camera, and two wheel truck.
4. Establish and maintain good working relations with employees.
5. Has a thorough knowledge of all operations and equipment as well as the various types and sizes of plastic pipe products.
6. Completes daily loading tickets for Shipping and Receiving departments.
7. Teaches, advocates, and uses safe working practices and reports hazardous conditions at all times.
8. Maintains good housekeeping program at all times.
9. Fills out miscellaneous reports as necessary and conducts periodic inventory checks as required.
10. Maintains efficient use of warehouse and storage facilities.
