Shipping Coordinator
Position: Shipping Coordinator
Working Hours: 5 days, 8.30am to 5.30pm
Location: Tanjong Pagar, Near by MRT Station
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping Assistant to support our daily administrative and logistics tasks. You will work closely with our operations team to handle shipping documents, update system records, and track deliveries. Fresh graduates and junior candidates are welcome to apply!
Key Responsibilities:
Quotation Preparation:
Prepare accurate and competitive freight quotations for clients based on shipment details, routes, modes of transport, and vendor pricing.
Vendor Coordination:
Communicate and negotiate with carriers, warehouses, and transport providers to arrange timely pick-up, delivery, and storage of cargo.
Notice of Arrival (NOA):
Issue timely and accurate notices of arrival to clients and relevant stakeholders, ensuring all documentation and information are properly shared.
Client Communication:
Maintain strong and professional communication with clients, providing shipment updates, resolving inquiries, and managing expectations.
Documentation and Compliance:
Ensure all operational processes comply with customs regulations and company policies; maintain up-to-date shipment records.
Problem Resolution:
Address operational issues or delays quickly by coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and clients.
Requirements:
Minimum 1 years of customer service or operational experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or shipping (Air/Sea import & export), but fresh entry-level candidates are welcome.
Good understanding of shipment coordination, freight documentation, Incoterms, and basic customs procedures.
GCE 'O' Level / 'N' Level / NITEC / Diploma in any field (Logistics/Supply Chain is a plus).
Fluent in English (Mandarin/Japanese is an advantage to effectively communicate with Mandarin/Japanese-speaking clients.).
Core Skills: Strong communication, multi-tasking, and follow-up skills in a fast-paced environment.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).
Responsible, fast learner, independent, and a strong team player.
