Shipping Coordinator
Job Summary
The Shipping Coordinator plans and manages local and international shipments, ensuring timely, accurate deliveries while complying with trade regulations. This role liaises across teams and external partners to maintain smooth shipment operations.
Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily local and international shipments to ensure timely and accurate delivery
- Liaise effectively with customers, freight forwarders, couriers, and transport providers to facilitate shipment processes
- Prepare, verify, and ensure accuracy of all shipping documents to comply with import/export regulations
- Arrange bookings with freight forwarders and monitor shipment progress until final delivery
- Collaborate with Production and Logistics teams to align shipment schedules with production outputs and delivery deadlines
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding shipment schedules and delivery status to maintain customer satisfaction
- Maintain comprehensive and organized shipping records for audit and operational purposes
- Identify and resolve shipment issues by coordinating with freight forwarders to ensure timely resolution and delivery
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or equivalent in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in shipping or logistics coordination
- Knowledge of import/export documentation and shipping procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
