Shipping/Materials Handling Operator
- Put material into inventory for future orders.
- Legible writing of detailed information on inventory forms then entering information into the computer.
- Using computer to check material availability and print labels perform shipments.
- Clean and package material to be put into inventory or to be shipped to a customer.
- Must be able to communicate and be responsive to both Sales and Production needs.
- Keep raw material and inventory stores organised and tidy.
- Maintain reclaim storage and segregation and prepare for shipment.
- Make sure material is packaged to insure safe delivery to its destination.
- Follow detailed written instructions on customer orders and product labels.
- Verify quantities are accurate and match both packing slips and material certification.
- Complete all export paperwork as needed.
- Weigh packages on shipping scales and fill out all carrier paperwork.
- Help to unload truck of incoming materials.
- Keep accurate and legible written records for traceability.
- Keep a clean, neat workplace.
- Keep job and department tooling and machinery in good working condition.
- May be asked to drive a company vehicle.
This position is for either the evening shift (4pm–midnight or the night shift (midnight–8am), Monday through Friday.
