Shipping & Receiving Clerk (3970)
Under the supervision of the Logistics Supervisor, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and storing material, supplies, and transporting raw materials and/or finished goods within shipping, receiving, and bindery departments. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk may also be called upon to assist the manager in other areas of the warehouse department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verify materials received against purchase requisition. Receive product into inventory system.

Release material to production area.

Read job tickets to determine material needed, material location, and proper destination.

Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas using a forklift or hand truck.

Maintain inventory records on computer system.

Periodically, take inventory of material and supplies in storage as assigned. Notify manager of low inventory supply

Wrap and prepare skids for shipment or return as necessary.

Load and Unload Trucks/Vans

Maintain warehouse; ensure neat and orderly storage of material.

Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.

Follow and comply with all safety, work rules, and regulations.

Maintain departmental housekeeping standards.

Operate company vehicles to deliver or pick up product as needed (back‐up).

Back‐up to the Logistics Supervisor in the day‐to‐day operation of the department when required. These duties will include:

Coordinate Marek drivers for daily deliveries.

Reply to Emails from Sales/CSR Staff to coordinate deliveries, pickups and other shipping/receiving issues.

Prepare documents such as: Shipping schedules, Bills of Lading and shipping orders to route deliveries.

Contact Carrier Representatives to make arrangements for shipping and delivery of materials and finished goods.

Attend Production Meetings to go over the daily schedule to accomplish the delivery of all jobs due that day.

QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Requires education generally equivalent to a high school diploma and one to three years of related experience.

Previous shipping, receiving and supervisory experience is desired.

Ability to use a computer to receive materials, record inventory moves, check inventory status, get shipping estimates and process shipments.

Ability to operate, load, and trouble‐shoot a pallet wrapper.
-
Ability to become certified to operate a sit‐down and stand‐up forklift.
-
Ability to lead others and delegate tasks as necessary
