Shipping & Receiving Clerk (Warren, OH)
Summary
Manages daily warehouse receiving, inventory tracking, and logistics operations using SAP, including unpacking shipments, resolving vendor issues, and training staff on MRO supply processes.
Pay Range: $26-30/hour Job Summary
Provides day-to-day ownership of all parts receiving in accordance with standards and policies. Manages the receipt of MRO supplies (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) and other items. May also include "put away," managing/coordinating outgoing shipments, inventory cycle counting, and receipt of cores for refurbishment. Serves as a liaison for and resource to third-party operations.
This role does not handle raw materials or bulk process chemicals for manufacturing, wastewater treatment, utilities, or machine clothing, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receiving Operations
- Perform all Receiver standard work related to the Stores function and daily operation of the Stores warehouse.
- Unpack and examine incoming shipments.
- Reject damaged items.
- Record shortages and correspond with vendors to rectify damages and shortages.
- Receive and apply KC standard labels for incoming materials, including SAP receiving transactions.
- Manage vendor returns, including delivery note creation.
- Manage claims.
- Receive cores for refurbishment.
- Receive repaired parts into inventory.
- Manage and support cycle counts of inventory cabinets and stock locations, including inventory adjustments as necessary or requested.
- Act as expert/training resource within the mill/plant for the materials management portion of SAP for receiving.
- Train less experienced personnel on established methods.
- Facilitate transfer of technical knowledge in the incumbent's area of expertise while demonstrating an understanding of those with a diverse background or experience.
Support:
- Management of interim bins in the SAP system.
- Put away materials once received.
- Management of write-offs, obsolete parts, and scrapping.
- Management of material transfers in the warehouse.

- Problem solving during urgent machine down situations by creatively finding solutions to minimize downtime.
- Plant maintenance schedules by timely receiving of MRO parts/materials.
- Resolve issues with parts availability by changing purchase delivery dates, support plans, and/or order fulfillment sourcing.
- Perform inventory control functions, ATS entry and review, auto requisitions, material usage review, record retention, reconcile transaction discrepancies, and coordinate physical inventory.
- Support the continuous analysis of the disposition process of obsolete/surplus material and recommend changes to support facility objectives.

Qualifications Education
- Technical School or High School diploma/certificate or equivalent with additional equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of logistics, warehousing, spare parts management, and SAP experience.

- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to utilize SAP software.
- English.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- This position requires daily email, voicemail, and direct communication with planners, vendors, stores clerks, and other stakeholders.
- Must be able to communicate to "inform, engage, and inspire" a wide variety of constituents.
