Shipping Specialist
Location: Maryland Heights, MO
Job Type: Full-time, on-site
Compensation: $20 per hour. Pay is subject to overtime based on hours worked.
About the Role
We are looking for a dependable Shipping Specialist to join our production team. In this role, you will prepare, package, and ship finished goods to customers while ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.
You will work closely with production, warehouse, and customer-facing teams to move materials throughout the facility, maintain shipping records, and support an efficient shipping process.
What You'll Do
Shipping & Logistics
- Prepare, package, and ship finished goods to customers
- Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks and forklifts
- Move materials throughout the facility as needed
- Follow established procedures for receiving, material storage, order picking, and order staging
- Capture and maintain shipping information and documentation
Equipment & Material Handling
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and effectively
- Build and prepare shipping containers using hand and power tools
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order
- Ensure materials are handled and stored properly
Quality & Customer Support
- Verify shipments for accuracy and completeness before shipment
- Identify and report damaged materials, defective parts, or shipping issues
- Work with internal and external customers to answer questions and resolve problems
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality
Team & Continuous Improvement
- Meet productivity and performance expectations
- Follow company policies, procedures, and safety requirements
- Participate in continuous improvement activities
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance
- Assist with other production and shipping duties as assigned
