Shooting Range Associate

SUMMARY: This position is an essential and dynamic role in the operation of the shooting range. This individual must be knowledgeable about firearms and firearms safety, be willing to firmly enforce the rules and regulations of the shooting range, and always maintain a professional and positive demeanor with the customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Provide customer service while working the rental/retail counter and become proficient in the use of the companies Point of Sale (POS) software

Assist customers with the selection of rental firearms and suggest the additional necessary supplies for use while shooting

Instruct customers on range rules, and firearms safety and complete all required paperwork associated with range and firearms rental prior to using the range

Work as Range Safety Officer (RSO) and assist in the training of other RSOs

  • Supervise, guide, and educate shooters who are using the range.
  • Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the department/store.

Adhere to and enforce all company standards, rules and policies while on the range

  • Assist new and inexperienced shooters using the range in a manner that fosters a comfortable shooting experience while building the competence and confidence of the shooter
  • Works to protect the range and the range equipment from damage due to unsafe shooting practices

Maintains the cleanliness of the range facility and all related equipment at all times Performs maintenance on the firing range equipment as needed

  • Cleans and inspects company-owned rental firearms regularly to maintain the safe and

proper operation

  • Enforces safety, health, and security rules.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as required by management.
