Shop Assistant/Driver
Summary
Assists welders by organizing tools/materials, cleaning work areas, and operating equipment; also handles loading/unloading deliveries and driving.
Tri-Jet Manufacturing is looking to recruit a weld shop assistant to support the activities of our welding team along with deliveries. This position will ensure an organized and clean work environment. You will guarantee welders have tools and materials, such as rods and grinding discs, available, and operate grinders, hammers, beveling machines, and drills.
Responsibilities:
Maintaining cleanliness of work areas
Sweep, empty out garbage bins
Ensuring welders have required materials and tools available
Loading and unloading trucks
Pick up and drop of materials and parts
Grind and deburr material
Clean welds
Operating various tools and types of equipment
Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs
Ability to work in a standing position for extended hours
Available to work shifts and extended hours
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check
Must be 25 years or older with clean driving record
