- Ensure that all work is completed expertly and meets quality standards
- Communicate effectively with other shifts to run workflow efficiently
- Keep up-to-date on the latest workplace safety and environmental requirements and implement all health and safety policies on the shop floor
- Maintain and service equipment as needed or according to dealership and manufacturer standards
- Interview drop-off drivers and document vehicle complaints
- Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment
- Craft job orders, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to resolve malfunction and plan work procedures
- Test-drive vehicle once service is complete to ensure that they run smoothly
- Tag all warranty parts and returns to Warranty Clerk
- Look out for training and factory technical bulletins as they become available
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer happiness
- 3-5 years of diesel mechanic experience preferred
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, math, and writing skills
- Ability to prioritize work in a dynamic environment
- One year Fleet or dealership experience
- Management or customer service experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- ASE and CDL certification preferred
