Join Our Creative Team – New Orleans (Elmwood, LA)
Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group is seeking temporary Builder/Maker support for our Elmwood, Louisiana production facility. This role is ideal for hands-on creatives who enjoy building immersive environments and can jump in to support active production projects.
As part of our creative shop, you’ll assist in constructing scenic elements, props, and set pieces used across our portfolio of haunted attractions, immersive experiences, and live events. This is a fast-paced, collaborative environment where flexibility, craftsmanship, and reliability are key.

Position Overview
The Shop Helper is a versatile team member who supports a wide range of duties in our production shop. You’ll float between tasks throughout the day—helping with light carpentry, painting, organizing, and general shop upkeep—to keep projects moving efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities

Assist with basic carpentry tasks and scenic construction under supervision

Support scenic and general painting projects as directed

Prepare, pack, crate, and move materials, props, and scenic elements

Safely lift, carry, and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) as needed

Maintain shop cleanliness, including trash removal, sweeping, and general housekeeping

Help organize tools, materials, inventory, and work areas to support safe and efficient operations

Float between teams and tasks based on project priorities and deadlines

Follow all safety procedures, shop rules, and supervisor direction
