Shop Welder

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks on trailers, trucks, and various metal components

• Repair and reinforce structural elements of commercial vehicles and equipment

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings

• Operate a variety of welding equipment including MIG, TIG, arc, and plasma cutters

• Cut, fit, and fabricate metal parts using hand tools, torches, and grinders

• Conduct visual inspections to ensure weld quality and compliance with specifications

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with safety standards

• Assist with other mechanical or shop-related tasks as needed

• Adhere to all company safety protocols and procedures

Skills, Education & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Welding certification or equivalent work experience required

• Proficient in MIG and arc welding techniques (TIG a plus)

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot fabrication challenges

• Familiarity with welding safety procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Able to lift and move materials up to 75 lbs.

• Comfortable working in physically demanding and noisy environments
