Showroom Design Consultant

Job Description

• Welcome customers and understand their design preferences, functional needs, budget and project requirements.
• Recommend suitable wallcoverings, curtains, blinds, fabrics and other interior furnishing solutions.
• Present product samples, colourways, textures and technical information confidently.
• Prepare quotations, process sales transactions and ensure that product codes, dimensions and order details are accurately recorded.
• Manage showroom and online enquiries promptly and professionally.
• Follow up consistently with leads, quotations and existing clients to convert opportunities into confirmed sales.
• Maintain accurate customer information, follow-up activities and sales opportunities in the company’s CRM system.
• Build strong relationships with homeowners, interior designers, architects and other industry professionals.
• Coordinate with the sales, operations and installation teams to ensure a smooth customer journey from enquiry to project completion.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and work with the relevant departments to provide appropriate solutions.
• Work towards individual and showroom sales targets.
• Support company events, exhibitions, product launches and promotional activities.
• Maintain the showroom’s appearance and ensure that displays, samples and catalogues are clean, organised and updated.
• Perform other showroom and sales-related duties when required.

Requirements

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused, outgoing and confident in engaging different types of clients.
• Target-driven, results-oriented and disciplined in following up with customers.
• Strong attention to detail, particularly when handling dimensions, product codes, quotations and order information.
• Good problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• A good sense of colour, texture and interior styling is advantageous.
• Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different departments.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email and basic CRM or sales systems.
• Able to work showroom hours, including Saturdays. Sundays and public holidays are off.
• Able to communicate effectively in English. Mandarin proficiency is advantageous for liaising with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Previous sales or customer-service experience is preferred.
• Experience in soft furnishings, particularly curtains, blinds and wallcoverings, is an added advantage.
• Training will be provided for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
