Shutdown Planner Scheduler
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering
- Proficient in Primavera
- Sound working knowledge of Primavera P6
Knowledge and Experience
- Minimum 5 years diversified experience as a technical planner and scheduler of activities associated with maintenance, production and materials, including shutdown planning, preparation, and execution in an onshore oil and gas or petrochemical industry
- 5 years experience in Primavera software with strong Primavera P6 skills
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan shutdown activities to ensure a safe, effective, and efficient shutdown program
- Ensure all planned activities are completed within the allocated or available timeframe and within budget
- Assure all workforce, equipment, materials, and logistical support requirements are in place to ensure shutdown activities are harmonized and tracked to completion
- Support the planning, scheduling, and execution of all shutdown and minor project activities, including modifications during shutdowns
- Deliver shutdown plans and detailed schedules to determine shutdown duration, critical path and near-critical paths, and commissioning and decommissioning sequences
- Control and maintain a work list, work scope, and control documents for all shutdown activities
- Maintain frequent detailed communication with a diverse number of stakeholders to ensure manpower, equipment, and material availability within agreed timeframes
- Participate in risk screening and conduct clash reviews and lean thinking sessions to develop final resource profiles for shutdowns
- Provide guidance and support to ensure logistical and weather constraints are factored into planning
- Maintain accurate records of shutdown work orders (revision codes, settlement rules, priority) in SAP and Primavera P6 for shutdown plans and schedules
- Develop advanced, detailed integrated schedules in Primavera P6 based on detailed work packs and develop work breakdown structure according to shutdown requirements
- Perform quality checks on schedules and ensure that planning and scheduling best practices are followed
- Analyze schedules and work progress, identify risks and areas for improvement and optimization, and provide recommendations to optimize schedules
- Ensure optimal resource loading of schedules to produce workforce requirements, aligned with schedule limitations, and prepare resource requirements and cost estimations
- Ensure that all shutdown procedures are available and reviewed to ensure completion of all documentation prior to each shutdown period
- Prepare comprehensive shutdown reports, including management reports, deviation reports, critical path analysis, progress versus baseline plans, and S-curves
